Lake District explorer.
We will meet just outside Settle on the A65 and then head for the batch of lanes in GODS OWN COUNTY. The majority of the lanes will be on gravel and rocks with some of the trails having some rock steps and a ford. We will aim to finish on Saturday for around 1600 and head for our evening accommodation. This will be a treat for some as we plan to stay at one of the most stunning inns in the country .One of the best 4x4 Lake District tours you can Join.
The group will set off after a hearty breakfast and head for ENGLAND'S COUNTY OF LAKES . After a stop for provisions and fuel we will head across Windermere on the ferry. We will start our first day of lanes taking in Grizedale forest........ We will aim to finish for 1600hrs and head for our camp . A beautiful camp site situated near The Old Man of Coniston . This is a basic farm camp site but it does have showers and a washing room .
Just a 15 min walk down the road is a great little pub once again warm and friendly atmosphere. I would say that this midi expedition will be fine for a 2" lift and AT tyres
Once confirmation has been received of your attendance, you will be sent joining instructions and a list of equipment you will need.
This tour will be over two days and we have the option for camping or using hotels and B & B.. You will experience a mixture of road driving and a selection of other terrains including mud, rock and gravel with the odd ford thrown in for good measure. Don't worry about any technical sections we come across, our qualified Lantra instructor will spot you through the difficult obstacles......... These weekends are designed to help you determine what products or accessories you may actually need for your vehicle
All of the routes used have public vehicular rights of way and have been checked in advanced!

The cost of the midi expedition is £130 for one vehicle with two sharing for both days.
We also offer individual day price of £70 for either Saturday or Sunday.
This explorer trip is family friendly and is a great way to get the children away for some fresh air
